I enjoyed the book Temptation by Fire by Tiffany Allee. The read was a longer read, but a good one. The book was enjoyable and I enjoyed all the paranormal elements that were included in the book. This a paranormal romance/romantic suspense novel. I love the genres this book crosses and I am a huge fan of Entangled Publishing's Ignite line.

My book description:
A smoking hot romance for a heroine that is reluctant to take a chance and a dark, tortured hero that forces her. You can just feel the sizzle of the sexual tension between Ava and Karson.

The story is about a woman that has basically sworn off of men and any type of human contact for fear that if she does them, she will see their death in her "curse" psychic ability. An accidental touch of a man leads her deep into a secret world of demons. There is a twist on the "accidental touch" as the man that she touches is demon-possessed and has an a guard that is undercover for the "good" guys. When she tries to help the man, she meets the bodyguard and their romance begins. After messing up the bodyguard's initial plan, she jumps on-board to rewrite her wrong.

This is another one of Entangled Publishing's books that creates a new paranormal world different from the pack. I liked the setting of our normal world, with a private world of demons that take hold of human bodies and use them to carry out evil.

The characters were the best part of the story. The heroine, Ava is not one of those wimpy women. She is a strong character. I love her best friend Miriam. I would actually love for this to spin into a series and include Miriam. For a secondary character, she was so well rounded that I want to find out more about her story. The hero, Karson is dark and tortured, but there is a soft heart buried beneath all the muscle!

The plot was great and was full of conflict. The sexual tension was amazing and you could feel Ava and Karson's attraction instantly. It is one of those books where you can't wait for the couple to jump in the sack. Miss Allee is tremendous at creating sexual tension. Romance authors can learn from her example. Aside from the romance, the actual plot was interesting and featured the demon world. I love reading about demons, it seems like they are the new vampire.

There are a lot of things that I loved about the book - world building, conflict and sexual tension. As I mentioned it felt like it a longer read, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I didn't whip through it like I do other books. While the conflict was great, the pacing was a little slower than I normally like. It doesn't crawl, but it also isn't a race to the finish.  However, I still really enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

I would give Temptation by Fire a four star review.
