An Interview with Pan

What do you do in your free time?
That’s an easy one.  *smiles charmingly* I enjoy spending time in the forests around Mount Olympus. The fresh scent of pine, the raging rivers, the bathing maidens…all gorgeous like yourself. Yes, my life is a hard one. I’m as free as the wind. Born of nature, I have no family. Only the large oaks above my head, the shimmering trout in the stream, and the tiny, hovering humming birds.

Oh-kay. So, tell me about your hobby- you play the flute, right?
Fashioned from river reeds, my flute has the most alluring sound- like a sweet melancholy breeze. I’d play it for you, but we want to continue this interview, don’t we- I don’t want you distracted. Maybe later. *winks*

Right. So, tell me about Syrinx, the one who got away.
She is not someone I talk easily about. *glances down* I offered her everything, and she threw it away. All for some high and mighty vow. I’m telling you, she doesn’t know what she’s missing. That’s all I’ll say on the matter. Onto the next question…

So sorry to bring up a sore subject. Let’s turn to some fun questions. What is your favorite food?
Salad. I’m a vegetarian- of course. Wouldn’t want to eat my distant cousins so to speak. Definitely nothing with hooves. The scent of meat makes my stomach churn. And, I’m a big one for dessert, especially chocolate syrup all over you. Oops. Did I say you? I meant all over ice cream. *smirks wickedly*
