REVIEW: Tracy Wolff's Drive Me Crazy

Title: Drive Me Crazy
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Author: Tracy Wolff
Publisher: Entangled Brazen
Pages: 210
Language: English
FormatEbook

It's truly getting hard to find creative ways to describe how much I love Entangled's Brazen line. I wasn't sure what to expect when I download this novel. It was the second in the Shaken Dirty series and the first one just hadn't appealed to me and I hadn't purchased it. My mind is changed after reading Book 2, Drive Me Crazy.

The thing that drew me to actually reading the book was the hero. Yes, he's a rocker alpha, but even in the blurb he's awesome. And he just gets more awesome as the book goes on. Quinn Bradford is such a strong hero that it could've been a challenge to pair him with the perfect female and Elise McKinney is just it. She is a heroine that I would be friends with. I'd hate for having such a hot rocker as her boyfriend, but I'd respect her.

From the first page, which is a Prologue and normally I hate prologues, I was laughing. Quinn plays a practical joke on Elise by putting gold fish in her bath tub before she is set for a big performance. I could totally imagine the entire scene. It was comical and really pulled me in to the story. Then with her accident, the loss of her manager, death of her father and split from her fiance, the girl is seriously down on her luck until Quinn comes back to town. The determined female refuses to just show fear. The characters are really, really likable. Their sexual tension steams off the pages as does the love scenes. The plot is well structured so there was no lull anywhere in the story. And the writing is amazing. The smooth words and great descriptions just create vivid pictures.

Sigh, I'm going to say it again...I LOVE this book. It's a really enjoyable read with all of the pieces of a bestseller. I'll give it five stars because there is really nothing negative or to pick apart about the book. I recommend it, especially if you love rockers, strong brooding heroes and tough heroines.

Book Description:

His rival’s in his bed, and this rocker is ready to play.

Former rivals Quinn Bradford and Elise McKinney are not friends, at least not anymore. As teens, all they cared about was psyching each other out before concerts. But when Quinn—now the keyboardist for Shaken Dirty, the hottest rock band on the scene—returns to his hometown and hears about the car accident that shattered Elise’s career, he’s determined to make things right.

Elise wants nothing to do with an arrogant rock star, despite how bad she so clearly wants him, so Quinn kidnaps the stubborn little piano player and whisks her back to his mansion. A little seduction might be just the thing to keep Elise under his care…and in his bed. But amid pranks both childish and very adult, their past comes rearing back to haunt them. And it might be more than either of them can forget.

ABOUT TRACY WOLFF

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blumenovel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
