MY REVIEW:

I took a few months away from book reviewing, but this book, Every Step She Takes by Jannine Gallant has pulled me back in and rekindled my love reviewing. I absolutely fell in love with this book from the first sentence. This is the second book in the Who's Watching Now series. I hadn't read the first book, Every Move She Makes, but I've purchased it. I can't wait for third book to be released, Every Vow She Breaks in March 2016.

I love a strong romantic suspense story where the heroine is strong, independent, and while the hero does save her, she could do it herself, too. This book fits exactly what I desire in the genre. The characters, Grace and Travis were strong characters with believable pasts that really motivate and sculpt their characters. The characters are lifelike and easy to invest in and root for.  The action and suspense in this book was five star, along with the romance theme which was sexy. This was a quick read as it took me one night to read front to back.

I enjoyed the actual writing. Miss Gallant's writing voice is easy to follow and is the perfect mix of description and story. The dialogue is sharp and realistic. The setting and description are woven through the story to create strong mental pictures.

As I mentioned above, this is a series, Who's Watching Now, but I hadn't read the first book. I didn't feel lost or have any confusion without reading the first book. This was a great standalone, although I am intrigued and excited to read the first book and the third book when it releases.

If you are looking for a strong romantic suspense with lots of conflict, sexiness, and great writing, then I'd recommend you pick up this book.
