REVIEW: Jenna Bennett's Before You

I read Jenna Bennett's Before You as the second book in the Sex on the Beach series, but you can choose to read it in any order. This book had me on the edge of my seat and had the strongest external conflict of the three novellas.

I loved the voice of the heroine Cassie. She was intriguing and I really loved her character. This book was written in first person and it didn't switch point of view from the heroine and the hero. I did miss that and would have liked to read the voice of the hero, Tyler McKenna.

I loved the plot in this book and the ending had me chewing on my lip trying to figure out who the rapist was. And what a surprise!

I enjoyed this book and would give it 4.5 stars. I really did miss ready the hero's point of view, which was the only drawback that I found.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

It’s all fun and games

I had a simple plan for spring break.

Sun, sand, and a hot guy. Sex on the beach, with no strings attached.

A chance to get rid of this pesky virginity once and for all.

And when I met Tyler McKenna, I thought I had it made.

Until someone gets hurt

But then girls started turning up at Key West landmarks. Girls who looked like me, but with one crucial difference: They’d all been drugged and relieved of their virginity.

The virginity I still have. The virginity Ty refuses to take.

And now I’ve begun to wonder whether there isn’t more to him than meets the eye.

Suddenly, sex on the beach doesn’t sound so good anymore…
